I used the rigid point inserts but the flexible point inserts could have been used. The one drawback, which Logan has now addressed with a new stapler, is that you MUST position the frame against something so that the frame doesn't try to travel when the pins are inserted, especially into a hardwood frame.

I frequently find nice older frames that have no points fasteners securing the frame's mat mounting board plint else they have been crudely replaced with small nails or other less desirable hardware.
Logan Point Drivers Refine Results. In many cases, even if there are a few points holding the mounting board in the frame, they need to be replaced.
It is easy to load and use. I can't yet speak to its durability, but given the quality of its construction I believe it will last a long time.
